Lime Energy and Harrah’s Rincon Resort and Casino in Valley Center, California, have successfully completed an energy efficiency retrofit project that introduces advanced LED lighting technology throughout the facility. This initiative aims to enhance energy savings without compromising guest experience, projecting annual savings of $200,000 while reducing maintenance costs. Brendan O’Kane, property operations manager, emphasized the project’s contributions to both cost efficiency and environmental sustainability by lowering greenhouse gas emissions through reduced electricity consumption. The LED lighting mimics traditional lighting, providing customizable brightness and color options, which are particularly advantageous for the casino’s continuous operation.
