Leeds Finalizes Extensive LED Lighting Enhancement at Highway Exit
The City of Leeds has successfully completed a major upgrade of LED street lights at Exit 140, enhancing visibility in a busy area frequented by visitors to local attractions such as Buc-ee’s, Bass Pro Shop, and The Shops of Grand River. Mayor David Miller praised the efforts of the electrical team and the Economic Development group for their roles in the project, which replaces outdated lighting with modern LED fixtures. This upgrade positions Leeds among the few cities in Alabama with fully operational and efficient exit lighting systems, aiming to improve safety for motorists navigating the area.
