Uttlesford Council has expressed support for the proposed installation of four floodlighting structures at Rodings Primary School in Leaden Roding, each measuring eight meters in height. A council planning officer’s report indicated minimal concerns regarding the floodlighting structures and requested further details from the applicant. The proposal, while introducing new infrastructure, is expected to have a limited impact on the openness of the site and nearby residential areas. Despite potential increased noise from evening usage of the sports pitch, the application does not alter existing time restrictions. The possibility of future community use of the pitch was mentioned, though it is not part of the current application, which has drawn no comments from the Highway Authority due to its distance from public roads.
