The Trinidad and Tobago Electricity Commission (T&TEC) has completed Phase One of its project to install new LED street lights along Lopinot Main Road, enhancing community safety and visibility for residents. Launched on April 26, the initiative, funded by the Ministry of Public Utilities, will ultimately feature 127 LED lights and 100 poles, with 70 lights already installed during the first phase. Residents have reported a positive impact from the new lighting, noting improved appreciation for the area’s beauty and enhanced security for both locals and visitors. This project is part of T&TEC’s broader commitment to providing essential services during the pandemic, ensuring reliable electricity supply and improving public safety on the roads.
