LPSS Partners Invest .6 Million to Install LED Lighting in Five Lafayette Parish Schools, Aiming to Lower Utility Expenses

Five schools in Lafayette Parish, Louisiana, will significantly reduce their utility costs through energy-efficient upgrades made possible by Entergy and H & H Electric. As part of Entergy’s Energy Efficiency Program, the schools received LED lighting installations, fully funded with no costs for materials or labor passed on to the district. The upgrades, which total approximately $1.69 million in value, are expected to yield annual savings of about $170,140 across the five schools. Lafayette Parish School System Superintendent Francis Touchet Jr. expressed gratitude for community partnerships that facilitate such beneficial initiatives, emphasizing that savings will enhance classroom resources and opportunities for students.
