Moscow has proudly secured its position as one of the three most illuminated cities globally, according to Mayor Sergei Sobyanin’s announcement via his Telegram channel. Since 2011, Moscow has installed 478,000 outdoor lighting fixtures, enhancing urban safety and aesthetics. With modern, energy-efficient lights and smart control systems, the city can remotely manage lighting conditions while reducing electricity consumption by up to 30%. Architectural and artistic illumination of buildings has seen significant growth, with over 2,300 structures now featuring unique lighting designs. In 2024 alone, 32,000 new outdoor lighting devices were installed, and plans for 2025 include further enhancements with a focus on key cultural landmarks, parks, and playgrounds, ensuring the city remains vibrant and welcoming for residents and tourists alike.
