Murcia Football Stadium Enhances Lighting for Upcoming International Match

On January 10, 2024, the Murcia City Council announced the upgrading of the Enrique Roca stadium‘s lighting to advanced LED technology, enhancing energy efficiency and visibility for sporting events. This initiative comes ahead of the highly anticipated Nations League match between Spain and Denmark on October 12, which sold out in under an hour. The new setup involves replacing 146 metal halide floodlights with energy-saving LED fixtures, increasing light intensity from 500 to approximately 2,000 lux and achieving a high color rendering index for better television broadcasts. The project aligns with UEFA requirements and positions the stadium as a premier venue for both national and international events, further complemented by recent aesthetic improvements around the facility.
