Village Arts Inc. has transformed the old Bethany Lutheran Church into the Glory Ann Monson Theater in preparation for its performances of “A Christmas Carol.” The renovation includes a new sound system, wireless microphones, and advanced lighting features, allowing for dramatic and varied stage effects. Producer Josh Dockter highlighted the installation of aluminum trussing for lighting, which enables programmable settings and enhances the overall atmosphere of the production. Improvements also preserve the church’s stained glass windows while providing control over ambient lighting. The team plans to continue renovations over the next five years, adapting and learning as they enhance the theater experience. Performances of “A Christmas Carol” began last Friday and continue this weekend, with additional shows scheduled for December 20 and 21.
