New LED Bulb from Lighting Science Group Aims for Bright Tomorrow Lighting Prize

Lighting Science Group, in collaboration with Light Prescriptions Innovators, LLC (LPI), has developed a new 60-watt replacement LED bulb that boasts high efficiency, significant output, and low production costs. This innovative bulb will be submitted for testing to the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) as part of the Bright Tomorrow Lighting Prize (L Prize) competition, which seeks to encourage the creation of superior LED alternatives to traditional incandescent bulbs. The design incorporates patented technologies from both companies and aligns with the goals established by the Energy Independence and Security Act of 2007 to enhance the quality and efficiency of lighting solutions in American households.
