Preparations for the ICC Champions Trophy in Pakistan are gaining momentum, particularly with significant upgrades at Gaddafi stadium in Lahore, including the installation of new LED lights designed to enhance the fan experience. These improvements, which include dazzling light shows during key matches, are aimed at creating a vibrant atmosphere for spectators. The tournament, set to be the first global cricket event in Pakistan in 28 years, will feature its opening match on February 19 at Karachi’s National Stadium, while the final is slated to take place in Lahore unless India qualifies, in which case it will be moved to a neutral venue. The Pakistan Cricket Board has confirmed that all venues are well-prepared, with Gaddafi Stadium’s capacity now increased to 35,000, enhancing its status as the country’s largest cricket venue. The successful hosting of this tournament could pave the way for more international events in the future.
