New Mini-Pitch Court to be Installed at Pattee Park This Summer by Perry Parks and Recreation

The Perry Parks and Recreation Department is set to enhance Pattee Park with the construction of a new Mini-Pitch Court this summer, offering a versatile space for both soccer and basketball. Deputy Parks and Rec Director Becky Halling announced that the new court will be twice the size of the existing mini-pitch at Wiese Park and feature blue flooring, white lines, and the Perry Bluejay logo. The project was initiated in response to outreach from Musco sports Lighting, following a previous incident last January, and is being funded through various fundraising efforts and grants. Scheduled construction includes pouring concrete in July, with the court anticipated to open to the public by the end of August, following collaborations with several local contractors.
