North Andover Officials Review Traffic Findings and Improvements to Sports Facilities

At the March 18 meeting, the North Andover Planning Board discussed a traffic monitoring report for the AvalonBay development at 65–88 High St., revealing traffic volumes significantly lower than earlier estimates from 2019, with no need for additional mitigation measures. However, concerns were raised about the parking lot‘s capacity and the omission of commercial traffic in the initial projections. The board also reviewed updates on renovations to North Andover High School’s athletic facilities, which will feature a new synthetic turf field and improved drainage and lighting. Gale Associates presented revised plans that addressed stormwater management and compliance with dark-sky standards, alongside proposals for emergency access.
