Paralimni-Deryneia Set to Implement Smart LED Lighting and Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
Paralimni-Deryneia mayor Giorgos Nikolettos and EAC director-general Adonis Yiassimidis have signed an agreement to upgrade Paralimni’s street lighting by replacing energy-intensive lights with smart LED fixtures. The project, aimed at enhancing street lighting services and reducing energy consumption, will kick off immediately as part of the municipality’s broader smart city initiatives. Additionally, the agreement includes the installation of 11 electric vehicle chargers across various locations, promoting the use of electric and hybrid vehicles among residents and visitors. The mayor expressed his satisfaction with the agreement, emphasizing the financial savings for the municipality and its contributions to sustainable urban development.
