Plans to convert the former Albert Hotel and sports Bar in Anlaby Road, Hull, into a 22-bedroom house in multiple occupation (HMO) are currently under review by Hull City Council. The proposal includes creating 14 single rooms and eight double rooms, accommodating a maximum of 30 occupants. The existing 23-bay car park will remain accessible to future residents, alongside the addition of a new cycle shelter. The HMO layout suggests eight bedrooms on the ground floor, nine on the first floor, and five on the second floor, with plans for interior remodeling and new windows. The proposal aims to address community concerns by noting that nearby public houses would mitigate any adverse social impact from the establishment’s closure.
