R$ 300 Million Investment in Ilumina Paraná to Provide LED Lighting Across the Entire State

Paraná is set to achieve 100% LED public lighting across all its cities by 2026 through the newly launched Ilumina Paraná program, announced by Governor Ratinho Junior on October 14 in Foz do Iguaçu. The initiative involves an investment of R$ 300 million and aims to replace all sodium vapor lamps and older lighting technologies, with 56.19% of the state’s municipalities currently using LED lights. The program will benefit 105 municipalities, enhancing public safety and aesthetics, while also reducing energy consumption by up to 60% and lowering public lighting costs. Governor Ratinho emphasized the project’s contribution to the quality of life and sustainable development in the state, noting that LED lighting is environmentally friendly and highly recyclable.
