On Wednesday evening, the Lights of Love Tree Lighting Ceremony was held at Aspirus Riverview Hospital in Wisconsin Rapids, bringing together a community in support of those facing health challenges and in remembrance of lost loved ones. Despite the cold and snowy conditions, attendees participated in a heartfelt celebration featuring live remotes on WFHR, interviews with Aspirus staff, and a showcase of poetry and essays from local 6th grade students centered around the theme “The Greatest Thing to Give.” The event included performances by a choir from Grove Elementary and concluded with a community countdown to illuminate the special tree display, which will remain lit throughout the holiday season. The ceremony not only highlighted community spirit but also provided insights into Aspirus Riverview Foundation’s initiatives, inviting donations to support ongoing health services.
