King Charles and Queen Camilla visited Darjeeling Express in Soho on Wednesday, where they engaged with a group of Muslim women, including professional rugby player Zainab Alema and author Hajera Memon. The Queen also met with a mother and her daughters supported by Doorstep, a charity aiding families in need of housing. Demonstrating their commitment to community service, the royal couple assisted the all-female kitchen team in packing biryani boxes for the charity and preparing dates for distribution to hospitals during Ramadan. The King then visited chef Imad Alarnab at Imad’s Syrian Kitchen, a restaurant he opened in London after fleeing the Syrian war, where he met with British Syrians from various professions.
