The Delmarva Shorebirds have announced significant renovations to Arthur W. Perdue stadium in preparation for the 2025 baseball season, in collaboration with the Maryland Stadium Authority and Wicomico County. A groundbreaking event was held on January 30, featuring local and state officials, to kick off the construction of a new 9,000 sq ft indoor performance center, along with upgrades to existing facilities including locker rooms, weight rooms, and bullpens. The enhancements aim to comply with Professional Development League standards and improve player safety and fan experience, featuring new LED field lights, expanded dining areas, and community engagement spaces. The renovations are part of a commitment to providing a premier facility for both players and fans, with plans for the performance center to be available for year-round community use. The Shorebirds will open the season on April 8 against the Fayetteville Woodpeckers.
