Cozy Kennels, a pet care facility in Blackpool that has been operating for 17 years, is set to enhance its services and infrastructure thanks to a funding package from the Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund II (NPIF II). The investment will support significant improvements, including modernization of reception and staff areas, upgrades to outdoor spaces and kennel ventilation systems, installation of new grooming equipment, and the introduction of sustainable LED lighting. Currently employing ten staff, the business plans to create an additional full-time position, underscoring its commitment to growth. Facility manager Sarah Reid expressed enthusiasm about the upgrades, which aim to continue delivering high-quality pet care to their loyal clientele. The NPIF II, which allocates funding to stimulate economic development in underserved regions of the North of England, emphasizes support for businesses that demonstrate resilience and innovation.
