Shepparton’s Cycling Velodrome Unveils Enhanced Lighting

The Shepparton Cycling Precinct has undergone significant upgrades, including the installation of new 300 lux LED lighting that meets AusCycling standards, enhancing training and competition for local clubs and major events. Additional improvements consist of a new multi-use pavilion at the BMX track, upgraded start hills, and enhanced spectator facilities, all aimed at boosting the area’s appeal as a premier cycling destination. Funded through the Victorian Government’s Regional sports Infrastructure Program and in collaboration with the Greater Shepparton City Council, these enhancements not only support local riders but also position Shepparton to host national competitions, reinforcing the community’s commitment to sports and participation.
