Sky Secures Exclusive Broadcasting Rights for TGL Golf League

Sky has entered into a two-year partnership with TGL, the innovative golf league co-founded by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy through TMRW sports. This collaboration allows Sky Sports subscribers in the UK, Ireland, DACH, and Italy to enjoy exclusive coverage of every match during the league’s inaugural seasons. TGL merges cutting-edge golf technology with traditional play, featuring six teams in a season-long competition that begins January 7, 2024, and culminates on March 25, 2024, in the custom-designed SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Each match will take place over two hours on 15 unique holes, combining real-world and virtual golf. Sky Sports’ director of golf, Jason Wessely, expressed excitement about the partnership, emphasizing the appeal of TGL to both existing and new golf fans. Mike McCarley, CEO of TMRW Sports, noted that Sky Sports is the perfect platform for TGL, providing fans with the opportunity to follow local players and experience this dynamic new format of the game.
