Dr. Ken Wishaw, a distinguished medical professional and pioneer of helicopter rescue medicine in Australia, has transitioned into a passionate advocate for preserving dark night skies in his retirement. Co-founder of CareFlight and the New South Wales Medical Retrieval Service, Dr. Wishaw has significantly contributed to life-saving initiatives, including battle trauma management and mobile intensive care. His lifelong interest in astronomy has now led him to serve as secretary of the Brisbane Astronomical Society and co-found the Australasian Dark Sky Alliance.
