Two men, aged 24 and 25, from Cottage Hills and East St. Louis respectively, have been charged with multiple burglaries across East Alton and Bethalto, following incidents that occurred between June and January. Each faces several felony counts, including burglary and theft, after allegedly breaking into various stores, including Handee Mart and Circle K, where they stole cash and damaged property. The investigation, initiated by local police, revealed links to additional burglaries throughout the Riverbend area. In separate cases, a 39-year-old Granite City woman was also charged with theft and related felonies for stealing power tools and guitars, and a 56-year-old Wood River man faces theft charges for stealing rims. All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
