Volunteers Transforming Cities for the Holiday Season

As the Christmas season approaches, communities in Weirton and Wellsburg came together to spread holiday cheer through festive decorations and cherished traditions. The DiFonzo family continued their 47-year legacy by assembling a life-size nativity scene in front of the Millsop Community Center, involving four generations in the process. Meanwhile, volunteer groups including the Brooke County Family Support Center and Cub Scout Pack 1553 worked collaboratively to hang Christmas lights in Wellsburg’s Central Park. With additional decorations like a new 31-foot artificial Christmas tree and the return of a 20-foot Santa Claus, both cities are gearing up for a warm and vibrant holiday season, enriched by community spirit and involvement.
